Whether you come from the north or the south, you have to take route 5 (Ruta 5). About 80km from La Serena to the north you will find the exit towards the west: route D-110-C (the road is paved all the way to the entrance of Punta de Choros). At 22km you will pass through the beautiful Los Choros village, and at 42km you will get to Punta de Choros (about 40 minutes from route 5). After entering to the town, turn on the first street to the right, and at the end of this street you will find Cabañas Las Hualas.
